Systems Engineer
We are a League City based instrument manufacturer of Continuous Emissions
Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and are looking for a motivated, energetic engineer
responsible for system integration, AutoCAD work, PLC troubleshooting and light
programming. The position does require up to 50% travel for maintenance, repair,
service, training of monitoring systems.
The Engineer will be responsible for all facets of system design of a monitoring
project. This includes interfacing with the customer, reading job
specifications, creating drawings for customer review and fabrication, system
check-out and quality assurance testing along with field installation and
customer interface. The candidate will be knowledgeable with flow and electrical
systems and have a good understanding of instrumentation. Strong verbal and
written communication skills are a must.
Our systems utilize a PLC for system control. The candidate will be able to
troubleshoot the existing PLC programming and configure new PLCs for system
integration. In addition, we have several software projects that are being
developed and maintained. The candidate will need to be able to interface to our
software programs, access customer systems remotely, trend and analyze data and
provide feedback on results. Often these types of tasks can be done manually or
automated with small programs. A candidate with the ability to write small
programs for these purposes would position themselves ahead of other candidates.
